Caregivers

Supporting a loved one can be rewarding. However, for any caregiver, it can also lead to difficult decisions, competing demands and physical and emotional stress. You may benefit from counselling if you are experiencing any of the following:  


  • Worry about your loved one's health and wellbeing
  • Confusion about next steps and options for the future
  • Conflict with family regarding decision-making
  • Feeling sad, overwhelmed or irritable, having difficulty sleeping or concentrating (signs of caregiver stress)

Seniors

Although aging can be accompanied by numerous challenges, there are steps you can take to improve your health and mood. You may benefit from counselling if you are experiencing any of the following:  


  • Feelings of loss or frustration due to physical or cognitive decline
  • Confusion about next steps and options for the future
  • A new or pre-existing diagnosis with worry about your health, memory or functioning
  • Concern about your family and relationships
  • Loss of interest in activities or increased loneliness
  • Feelings of sadness, hopelessness or grief


My Future Wellbeing helps seniors by:  


  • Providing support for emotions such as anxiety, isolation or depression
  • Building healthier coping skills and reducing stress to improve wellbeing
  • Adjusting to physical or cognitive challenges to resume daily activities

Individuals

Therapy can be helpful for individuals with complex health challenges for support with a variety of psychosocial challenges. You may benefit from counselling if you are experiencing any of the following:


  • Feelings of loss or anger regarding new or chronic illnesses or injuries
  • Worry about how your health will impact your future or relationships
  • Negative thinking patterns that are impacting your functioning or motivation
  • Fear after a trauma or incident
